Today, Melissa is still happily married to the love of her life, Javan, and is a momma bear of 3 beautiful kids.

Hey Sis! Have you ever wondered what effects body positivity has on your sexual relationships? What about being the higher desire woman? Tune in to part 2 of this conversation with Jacquie as she answers a few questions from some of my Instagram followers. Listen up!
As an empath and healer, our guest Jacqueline Greely or affectionately called “Coach Jacqs,” creates healing transformative spaces that gives women permission to live life unapologetically. As the founder of Mirrored Vision Coaching, LLC, Jacquie is purposed to help usher women into divine love and acceptance of themselves through safe talk spaces, retreats, teaching, coaching, and womb healing. She believes that women, through traumas, fears, abuse, can choose to live a life on their own terms and of her making.
Jacqueline’s Bio
“Sensuality is about living in the expression of who you are.” This is a statement that Jacqueline Greely lives by and helps other women to empower themselves to do the same.
From a young age, Jacquie was always curious about human behavior and sexuality. Alongside her young teen books were reference guides on psychology, medical articles, and a few steamy romance novels from her grandmother’s bookshelf! In college, she became a peer health educator as part of a work-study program assisting in clinics and workshops. Soon, she was leading a weekly contraception workshop for health clinic patients. Though post-college took her on a different path, women’s empowerment never strayed far from her heart. In 2013, after suffering a devasting loss, Jacquie became a certified yoga instructor and shortly after became a full-circle doula. Focusing on the care of women in postpartum, she was once again able to support and educate women on accepting themselves wholly, especially sexually. Once again, at the start of the 2020 pandemic, Jacquie was offered an opportunity to fulfill her childhood dream of becoming a sexologist. In 2021, Jacqueline became a certified clinical sexuality coach and master sexpert.
Jacqueline holds a master’s in public administration and over 10 years with the federal government. She also holds several trainings and certifications in birth work, yoga and Reiki practitioner, womb health, and administration.
Key Takeaways:
“Feminine energy is soft and yielding.” - Jaqueline Greely
“Body positivity is not always weight or height” - Jaqueline Greely
“When marriages don't or relationships don't look ‘normal’ everybody has something to say about people's relationships” - Jaqueline Greely
“I feel like as women, when we are able to exude that vulnerability, it brings out that feminine essence” - Taccarra Renee

Hey Sis! Today I’m talking about permission to rest and the soft life.
I decided to give myself permission to rest and take a nice vacation in Cancun at an all-inclusive resort. Have you seen more posts, reels, and memes about living the “soft life”? If not, the soft life is the movement from being a strong woman to a woman that’s interdependent. A woman that is open and willing to be vulnerable. A woman that leans into her feminine essence. A woman that’s not afraid to just be.

Hey Sis!! In order for us to have the best relationships possible, sometimes we need to go all the way to childhood. We need to evaluate our triggers and be honest about why we do the things that we do.
Today’s podcast guest is Bernadette Jackson. Bernadette Jackson is a woman of faith, a mom, a fatherless daughter and a transparent truth teller. As a Relationship Engagement Strategist and your favorite Fear Investigator, she creates safe spaces for fatherless daughters to learn, grow and heal. Her safe spaces include the Healing Elevates Relationships Podcast where she is redefining how the world views women with daddy issues; H.E.R Coalition, her private FB community and H.E.R Way Relationship Intensive, her private coaching program. In that program, Bernadette teaches clients everything she wished she knew about attracting and maintaining amazing relationships as a fatherless daughter. This program is near and dear to Bernadette's heart as she openly shares how her own fear of abandonment cycle kept her in undesirable relationships for more than a decade. To learn more about Bernadette's story and how she can help, visit her website at bernadettejackson.com or follow her on IG @bernadettenjackson
One thing that stuck out – What Fatherlessness actually is:
A Fatherlessness is a spectrum. One end is a father who has never been there and the other end is a father who has been there and has been intentional. In between are fathers who were inconsistent, fathers who present sometimes/ part-time, or fathers who were not emotionally present.
Characteristics Fatherless Daughters Tend to Display:
Compatibility vs Capacity – 43:59

Dear Sis,
In order for us to have to best relationships possible, it has to start with us. This means that we have to work towards forgiving people who have wronged us regardless of whether we received an apology. Waiting on an apology is nothing but an energy leak. Use that energy to focus on the ones who love you.
Nneka’s Bio
Nneka Anderson is a transformational coach, speaker, and creator of Reshape the Soul. After growing her corporate career for over 20 years, one afternoon she found herself sitting at her desk in tears; feeling unfulfilled and desperate to stop letting fear keep her from living out her purpose. She eventually walked away from the highest-paying job in her career. Over the last 7 years, she’s called upon her study of human behavior, Biblical counseling, mindset transformation, and her own experiences to help women get freedom from self-sabotaging behaviors that keep them stuck. Using her 5 Pillars of Transformation, Nneka helps her clients see how Forgiveness, Acceptance, Identity, Trust, and Healing provide the solid foundation for building the lives they crave.
One thing that stuck out:
You can get so used to rehearsing negativity in your life that you don’t even remember the origin.
Topics Covered:
Nneka, what’s one piece of advice you would want to give your sisters about unforgiveness and relationships?

Dear Sis,
Some things are we endure in relationships actually have nothing to do with us. It comes not only from a culture, but from a systemic oppression that’s told many people of color that they are not good enough. I can’t wait for you to listen to this episode with Shirani. If anything that she says resonates with you, be sure to leave a review and let me know!
Shirani’s Bio
Shirani M. Pathak (she/her) is the founder of the Fierce Authenticity™️ movement, where humans all over the world are learning how to lead from their humanity by recovering from the perfectionism, imposter syndrome, judgment, criticism, and “not enoughs” we’ve been conditioned to believe living under systems of supremacy.
Shirani's work illuminates how these are the ways we've been affected by not 500 years of supremacy culture, but 5,500 years of supremacy since the fall of ancient Sumer. Her goal is to help us heal from the pain and trauma of supremacy culture so that we can live in a world based on love not fear.
With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, Shirani is trained in trauma, interpersonal neurobiology, our nervous system responses, and relationship patterns. She uses her superpower of seeing interpersonal relational patterns to help people break free from the conditioning of internalized supremacy.
Shirani's signature framework, Fierce Authenticity™️, is grounded in psychology, science, and spirituality. The practices of Fierce Authenticity™️ includes:
Heart Work: Getting into right relationship with ourselves and others, and
Somatic Work: Getting into relationship with your body
Emerging from the practices of Heart Work and Somatic Work is a New Legacy. A legacy where we are freed from the internalized effects of supremacy, which in turn ripples outward to touch every single person on our planet and create a world without supremacy.

Dear Sis,
When it comes to relationships, we can be so busy AVOIDING what we’ve seen in the past that we end up repeating it. Why? Because we never actually put preventive measures in place. Familiarity will cause us to accept things that should not be the standard.

Dear Sis,
I know a lot of us identify as being the strong woman. I would like for you to consider if you have been doing that in a healthy way. Is being a strong woman doing YOU a disservice? Answer these questions:
Are your boundaries in check?
Are you making time for you?
Do you have the relationships that you desire?
If you answered 'NO' to any of these questions, I encourage you to go back to determine what needs to take place to get to your YES.

I also discuss my thoughts on self-integrity and having the AUDACITY to speak the true desires of our heart.
Happy New Year to everyone!
Hey Sis!! Today, I'm READING the letter that I wrote to myself this time last year. The front of the card says, "Sometimes when it seems like things are falling apart, they're really just falling into place". I reflected on 2020 and wrote about what I expected to see this year. December 2020, I was lonely, confused, separated from my then husband, frustrated about my finances, and trying to figure out what to do next. Today, I can say that I'm completely healed. I'm no longer sad or ashamed regarding my divorce. I'm happy. I'm joyful. My financial position is much better than last year. I finished my book. I've started a podcast and now I'm focused on what I want my future family to look like.

Dear Sis,
As we get older, our relationships with our parents change. We may start to experience a push and pull with our boundaries. In the beginning, it may be that parents are seemingly hanging on too tight and as we continue to age, we find ourselves becoming the parent and roles being reversed. I wish these are conversations that we would have much earlier so that they are easier to discuss or don’t strictly happen in the case of an emergency.
Today I’m talking with Diana Copeland about transitional parental relationships. How to navigate boundaries and we get older and how to broach important topics with our parents as roles begin to change.
Diana’s Bio
Diana is characterized as "one that people gravitate towards" for advice and her ability to hear them. Diana is a Certified Life Coach as well as a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. Her education and training build upon her coaching arsenal.
Diana uses her ‘SELF’ method to help women intentionally strengthen relationships with themselves, and others. Empowering women who find themselves asking what about me. She has an innate way of understanding people and their needs. Her ability to individualize and personalized their experience creates a comfortable and open environment for expression and communication. Diana's clients confirm she makes them "feel like they are the only clients she is working with."
Diana lives in Texas, with her loving husband of 23 years. Their happiness continues as they continue to support and enjoy their 2 college age children.
If you are looking to reach new levels, achieve those goals, motivation, encouragement, mentor, navigate that tough transition, find your voice and stop being a people pleaser.
One thing that stuck out:
Be okay with sitting in the silence once you have expressed your boundaries.
Correction to quote mentioned at 4:35 – “Be careful with trying to keep the peace outside when there is a war on the inside.”

Dear Sis,
I wish that we would inherently know how valuable we are. Sometimes we depend on other people or accolades to prove that we are valuable, but I assure you that isn’t the case. No job title or home title determines WHO are you. Guess what? You get to decide.
Today I’m talking with Darnise Harper about self-confidence, self-worth, and being a worthy woman.
Darnise’s Bio
Darnise is first and foremost a proud mom. She is also the host of the Worthy Women podcast and a Confidence Coach. Being someone who had what others would consider a picture-perfect life she had no reason not to be confident, but that all changed when the fairytale ended in divorce and her becoming a single mom. With her confidence shattered and having to rediscover who she was outside of being a wife. She had to learn how to rebuild not only her shattered confidence but also pick up the pieces of her life. Though the process wasn’t easy it not only made her faith foundation stronger, along the way her confidence was rebuilt and she began to rediscover who she was. She now teaches other women how to rebuild their confidence and discover or rediscover who they are. Darnise is passionate about facilitating transformation in women and teaching them that knowing who you are and having confidence is possible.
One thing that stuck out:
Your self-worth is like building a house. You must start with a solid foundation. If your foundation is shaky, everything else will be.

Dear Sis,
I don’t think we really consider how past trauma can influence our current relationships. I wish this aspect of mental health was discussed in greater detail, especially in premarital counseling. Before you ever consider marriage, I need you make sure that you have actively worked on healing from your past trauma, and you are aware enough to know if you have any triggers and how to deal with them. Like Courtney said, don’t let pain be your picker.
Today I’m talking with Marriage Interventionist, Courtney Loyd, about the effects that past trauma can have on a marriage.
Courtney’s Bio
Courtney Loyd is a Louisiana native with 12 years of experience in mental health. Courtney is a licensed addiction counselor with certifications in both clinical trauma and rehabilitation counseling. She is also uniquely positioned as a student and a teacher. She is an adjunct professor of psychology at Southern University and A & M College and she is a doctoral candidate at Liberty University with research interests in ACEs and academic performance in Black students attending HBCUs.
Courtney owns a private practice where she helps women heal from trauma. She also serves as a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Metropolitan Baton Rouge Chapter where she unapologetically advocates on behalf of Black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education, and economic empowerment.
One thing that stuck out:
Don’t let pain be your picker. If you pick from a place of pain, when you heal, you will want something different.
Topics Covered:
Courtney, what’s one piece of advice you would want to give your sisters about trauma and marriage:
Don’t be afraid to explore what could be lying underneath the surface. When we don’t do that, we continue to choose men from a place of pain.

Today I’m talking to Emotional Wellness Coach, Jasmine Johnson, about grief and how to properly heal from it. The conversation with Jasmine and I went from discussing the different types of grief, dating, marriage, cancer, and nutrition. And guess what? It’s all connected!
Jasmine’s Bio
Jasmine M. Johnson is a writer, mentor, cancer survivor, and Emotional Wellness Coach. Through her business, Embrace Your Healing, she serves women who have experienced loss and are struggling to navigate the grief journey. Her passion for supporting those who are grieving stems from her own extensive journey with loss over the course of her life. Among those losses, the most devastating was the death of her mother in 2016. Knowing that such a significant loss could cause her to lose her will to live, Jasmine made the choice to be intentional about obtaining support to process her grief in a healthy way. The freedom that she experienced (via therapy, grief support, and emotional/spiritual healing) ignited a flame in her to support others in their journey to healing and wholeness, know firsthand that grief is not something that should be tackled alone. Utilizing her Intentional Healing Method, Jasmine helps women to give language to their pain, embrace healing, and go from a place of simply surviving to thriving.
One thing that stuck out:
You can’t heal from what you fail to acknowledge.
The Intentional Steps of Healing – 22:08
Final Comments from Jasmine:
What you are experiencing is normal. You are not the only one who feels what you feel. It’s okay to feel how you feel. Acknowledge it and embrace it.
Grief is a journey that should not be traveled alone.
