The encyclical is a document issued by popes since the beginning of popes. Some popes have published many during their tenure, while others have given only a few. Some encyclicals are topic-specific, and others are broader in terms of their message. Pope Francis’s third encyclical, called Fratelli Tutti, which means All Brothers, discusses fraternity and social friendship. Fratelli Tutti is one example of what various religions are trying to say and highlights why we should be open to spiritual understanding.
Today I share a few of the messages from Fratelli Tutti and make a call to bring the pope on the podcast. I explore how technology hinders humanity and discuss how individuality and freedom suppress the common good. I share the story of the good Samaritan and why we need to follow this example to unite society. I also share why we need to declare the common good as our purpose and live our lives with unconditional love, compassion, and a desire to help those around us come together.
