Our lives are but a collection of moments. Sure, we can look at them as minutes or seconds or days or years, but really, they are moments because it’s only the moments that carry a special capacity to have a special meaning. Think about it: there are moments of truth, moments of surprise. Epiphanies are moments. There are joyful moments: the birth of a child, a birthday, a celebration for an anniversary. Those are moments; not minutes. Yet it is easy to feel that challenges and restrictions limit the chances of a moment occurring. But what if the choices we make could create serendipitous moments in our lives?
Today, I explore the differences between a minute and a moment in your life and what you can do about it. I share how we can use the concepts of doing nothing, truth, and choosing courage over fear to our advantage. I discuss the importance of setting clear daily intentions and making choices that encourage the occurrence of serendipitous moments. I also share how you can change your everyday life patterns to turn minutes and hours into memorable and meaningful moments.
