Enjoy this in-depth conversation with a modern woman of substance, Melanie Veazey, about life, business as well as the characters and roles we play during our lifetime.

I invited Melanie Veazey, a vocal and acting coach with 30 years of experience, to have a discussion with me for the following two reasons:

  1. To rise above any prejudgments projected onto coaches that they can't handle the tougher questions vs. showcasing their skills sets, ability to lead and authenticity to be the “real thing”; in the past 7 (seven) years, I've had to overcome stereotypes about the role of coaches and advisors play related to contribution, and second;

  2. To bring to light Melanie's personal meaning and the vision of her legacy in practical terms, beyond the traditional definition of the word "legacy" by Merriam Webster and other published dictionaries.

The intention here is to have a deeper qualitative conversation of substance with a coach of substance.

In the transfer of intellectual wealth, such as one’s life experiences, abilities, wisdom, and niched knowledge, wealth is far more than the currency in one’s financial accounts.

Ms. Veazey talks with humility as well as transparency about skills beyond the "stage performance" to include life skills in managing repeated rejection as a part of growth, interviewing techniques for relationship building, earning one’s talent through sweat equity as well as a holistic approach needed today for overall wellness.

We also discuss: what comes with the realities of both success as well as failure,; the priority of building others up; the nature of what audiences want in being able to standout; managing expectations around confidence despite external feedback; why prioritizing a self-love practice matters in the long run; the addictive qualities to success; the increase in pressure today to perform to & with perfection; how to pick oneself back up after repeated rejection; the emptiness that can come from unexpected surprises; the value of being able to express oneself for the sake of one’s soul; finding peace beyond “the things” & empowerment in new beginnings; the top qualities to make others feel heard, cared for and good enough.

While we may be hard wired to want our other’s love and approval, we can also be courageous in creating our own identities beyond an initial narrative for the evolution of our soul and emotional worth.

We hope you enjoy this in depth conversation as Mrs. Veazey shares her most impactful lessons and the reasons why developing one’s legacy matters.
