The 26th Annual Bath Savings Paddle for Pine Tree Camp event is happening on Saturday, June 4th AND Sunday, June 5th and registration is open! Both the Kennebec and Androscoggin paddles will benefit Pine Tree Camp and their open door policy, meaning no camper is turned away from camp, regardless of their ability to pay.

Pine Tree Camp opened its gates in 1945 as a summer camp for children with physical disabilities. Over the years, it has evolved into a place where children and adults with developmental & physical disabilities are able to participate in all the recreational activities for which Maine is known all year long. The barrier-free setting, along with an amazing staff, ensure that activities like swimming, fishing, kayaking, hiking, boating and even camping in a tent under the stars are completely accessible to all.

Three ways you can participate in the paddle:

1. Paddle on the Kennebec River June 4th (Solon)

Create a team! Come together with friends and family or on your own to create a fundraising team and then paddle the Kennebec River on June 4th! The adventure starts at the Evergreens Campground in Solon and ends in North Anson, followed by a cookout for all participants!

2. Paddle on the Androscoggin River on June 5th (Brunswick)

Our new location with the traditional Pine Tree Camp experience. Join us at 9:30 a.m. and bring your fundraising team as we paddle the Androscoggin River for Pine Tree Camp on Sunday, June 5th. The adventure starts and ends at the Water Street Boat Launch in Brunswick. This will include celebrity paddler and Music from 207 favorite, Spencer Albee, and lunch donated by Portland Pie Company!

3. Participate Virtually with your favorite outdoor activity

Create a team and then stick to the places you know! Go on a bike ride. Take a family hike on a local trail. Walk around your neighborhood. Have a dance party. Or, jump in your kayak and go for a paddle. The choice is yours!
