After getting her master’s degree in public health, Rana Shanawani began her career with the British chapter of the United Nations in Syria. While there, she got married, started a family, and helped start-up micro-businesses. Then war hit. Luckily, Rana and her family were able to get out safely but had to leave everything behind. She returned to America and had to start over. Surprisingly, even with all of her credentials, it was tough to find a job. With her innate persistency, Rana eventually did find work, and now leads a highly successful organization that supports women-based micro-businesses.  Success came because of great leadership traits and a determination to fulfill her personal mission.  This is truly an amazing story you won't want to miss.
