This week, we take a look at the 2010 film, Faster! Despite poor reviews and box office, this story of revenge actually manages to do something different in a grindhouse sort of way. Andrew argues that this may be Dwayne Johnson's best performance and also that it's worth checking out. Both of them agree that one character manages to poochie the whole thing. But despite one hiccup, this movie is a lot of fun and worth checking out!
This week, we finally tackle one of my favorite characters, Godzilla! Just in time for his new movie. We discuss Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster or Hedorah depending on which version you see. This movie has a surprisingly relevant message about pollution and the way we turn a blind eye to the Earth. It also has an unsurprisingly fun amount of Godzilla being a big ole doofus and killing things for fun. So come join us as we discuss the first of many Godzilla movies!

This week we're celebrating Black History Month with one of our favorite Black Horror Movies! The People under the Stairs directed by Wes Craven! Follow us as we find out that this movie was way more political than we remember and also may be a perfect introduction for young kids looking to get into horror! We found the movie that broke us and killed Medieval Week: Krull. The 1983 fantasy film about spinning blades, fire horses, spinning blades, wizards and did I mention spinning blades. We dissect this "there is a good movie in there somewhere" epic while also losing any steam we had in continuing to watch Medieval movies. So this will be it for a bit but we're coming back with more Bomb Squad fun!

So this is our end of the year finale! What a great year and by great, I mean terrible. But there were movies released and we talked about out top ten! As the bomb squad, we didn't just pick the ten movies we liked the most, no no no.. that's too easy. We picked ten movies that were either good and worth watching or at least had something worth discussing! This week, we did something new. We picked a movie that neither of us had seen to try and find the good qualities of and we picked the much reviled "Mary Shelley's Frankenstein" starring Kenneth Branagh and Robert De Niro as the monster! It was a bit tough but we had a lot of fun with the movie and with Robert De Niro's performance so check it out!
So technically this is episode 10 but we had studio problems with our ninth episode so we're bringing this one early! It's Josh's pick! And he picked the Guest! The Simon Barrett and Adam Wingard film about a soldier coming into a family's live for the better and worse... mostly the worst. It's a great fun film and a new should be a Halloween Tradition! Check it out!
This week, we talk about the Kevin Bacon ghost story, Stir of Echoes. While not really a horror movie, it is a movie with ghosts. It came out a few months after the Sixth Sense and the fact that they both deal with kids seeing ghosts meant that Echoes got lost in the shuffle. But it's worth a new look! So check it out!
This week, we are looking at Robert Rodriguez's From Dusk Till Dawn! We shot this in October so it fit for Halloween but now that it's November it still fits because... Vampires! We also talk about Robert Rodriguez's legacy especially among Mexican-American filmmakers like me!
This week, we are talking about a favorite movie of mine, Raising Victor Vargas, starring Victor Rasuk and Judy Marte. We recorded this the first week of Hispanic Heritage Month and it's a perfect film for it as it's about Dominicans living in the Bronx and their summer of growing up. It's one of the best coming of age films and worth check out!
This week is Josh's pick so we went with Jumper, the sci-fi film starring Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson and Samuel L. Jackson. This one was tough because it's not quite as good as we remember it but we still try to talk about the good the film has and how cool it would be to be able to teleport! Come along as we struggle through this episode!
This week on the Bomb Squad, we watch Babylon AD! Writer/Director Andrew Jara and Joshua Epp talk about Andrew's love for Vin Diesel, the importance of theme and the differences between the Director's cut and original cut! Also we found something about the making of the movie that almost changes their views.
