God’s great call to action is proclaimed in the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ. In the coming of the Son of God, heaven and earth are summoned to respond. The eternal Word took on flesh and entered our world in humility and grace, yet His arrival remains the most glorious event in human history.

Throughout the Gospel accounts, we see a variety of responses to His coming. The angels responded with worship and praise. The people of Jerusalem, Judea, and the Jordan Valley responded with repentance and confession of sin. The Magi journeyed from afar to offer gifts and worship. Many religious leaders responded with indifference, while Herod responded with hostility and destructive intent.

The question remains as urgent today as it was then: How will you respond to Jesus Christ?
