How does media coverage of general practice impact our work?

‘Inaccurate and unfair’ negative media coverage of GPs in UK newspapers is ‘contributing to workforce stress and the retention crisis’. That was the findings of a report by the British Journal of General Practice. 

On today's episode our panel of GP pharmacists discuss how general practice is presented in the media, the accuracy of reporting, and the impact that has on their day to day work. 

Incidents of abuse from patients, both verbal and physical, are on the rise, and the good will general practice had gained during the early months of the pandemic has long dissipated.
