Love is a word our culture uses constantly, but who gets to define what it really means? In 1 John 4:7–12, we see that God is both the source and standard of love. He defines love, demonstrates it through Jesus, and calls his people to put that same love on display. Because we have experienced a love that sends, sacrifices, and stays, we are compelled to love others with both grace and truth so they can see something of God through us.
