Hello,

I am Bryna, and this is Ran By Nature

Welcome to episode 24 with Jordan, Jordan Thomas, who at 24 years old won the World Karate Championship – the first time in 12 years that England had won this title. From 2016 to 2020 the focus was of course on Tokyo and the Olympics. Where Karate would be included for the first time. But Jordan took a kick to the head late on in qualifying, and got beat. He didn’t make the team. This wasn’t the first time he had faced a difficult and challenging situation. As you will hear in today’s episode Jordan has built up, and worked very hard on his mental resilience. He is also using his platform and Karate for good. To help children, by taking karate and mental health and mindfulness into schools. There are so many wonderful tips and thoughts that Jordan shares today, which I know will help you in so many different areas of life. And just a few days after World Mental Health day, I know we could all do with being a little kinder to ourselves. Practicing some gratitude, and using positive affirmations to realize just how far we have come in life. I would love to hear your feedback and questions following this episode.
