Hello, and welcome to season two of the Ran by nature podcast. I am the founder, and host Bryna Chrismas.
Ran by nature is the inclusive clothing club. Because I believe we are all born to move. The clothing (sustainable and ethical as standard) is launching soon, to keep updated you can follow along @ranbynature
In today’s episode, I am joined by Haroon Mota. Known by many as the marathon man. Haroon is often found running a marathon or climbing a mountain. In Ramadan 2020 he ran 260 km during the month of Ramadan raising over 50,000 pounds in the process. He has not only raised a huge amount of money for charity, but he also encourages others to get outdoors and engage in exercise. He founded Muslim cyclists, runners and hikers to inspire Muslims to be active. Its almost Ramadan again, so if you looking for some advice on how to exercise safely you can find Haroons article https://www.runnersworld.com/uk/training/motivation/a35848212/how-to-run-safely-ramadan/. After getting back into running to help deal with the grief of losing his dad, 10 years later, Haroon is still running. We talk about everything from what running brings him, what charity means to Haroon, and his favorite hikes. You can find Haroon @haroonmota on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and even Tik Tok. The community pages are @muslim.cyclists, @muslim.runners and @muslim.hikers.
