This weeks meditation is a few days early since I felt moved to put this out as soon as possible.
A meditation on grief is one that I have contemplated before but this week it seemed to be the obvious time to put it out there. This week it feels as though the whole world is in mourning for the loss of our beloved Queen. When the energy of the masses unites in this way it feels as though you are being swept in a tide of sadness and grief. And this collective grief can spark a renewal of any personal grief that we might be holding within us. The energy of a country working through a collective grief is somehow uniting – we are all feeling and processing similar emotions. Grief is a process – it takes time. Of course, we all experience our own personal grief in life. The truth about grief is that it is a totally natural emotion but one that is the most painful and difficult. Whilst meditation can help us process our grief and come to terms with it, we cannot alleviate grief, we can only work through it. As painful as it might be, we must allow ourselves to experience the grief we have so that it can pass through us, and evolve into something that we are able to live alongside.
I hope that this is useful in some way, if not now, maybe at a future date.
