While still a ministerial student at Unity Institute® andSeminary, Dr. Tanner has recently received his Ph.D., with a focus on New Testament studies. He has been preparing a paper for the Society of Biblical Literature, which posits that the quest for the historical Jesus may have erred in either neglecting or totally ignoring the record of the faith, memory and experience of the disciples of Jesus or their account of the impact of Jesus' life and teachings.
