Rockhurst welcomed Makeda Peterson, a 2012 RU grad, for a special Juneteenth 2021 Commemoration on campus in Arrupe Hall. Peterson serves as program director for JuneteenthKC. She was joined onstage by Alicia Douglas, director of the Rockhurst Community Center. They welcomed several guests for questions and comments throughout the event. RU President Tom Curran provided words of welcome.
