The episode begins with the second of four segments on Women in Engineering in celebration of International Women`s Day (March 9th) and National Engineering Month in Canada (March).

This week`s engineering failure is the Hancock Tower in Boston (7:45). The completion of the tower was delayed 5 years, and the budget doubled, to fix excavation (11:30), glass (12:40) and structural (15:55) issues. Despite its shortcomings, the building has received prestigious architectural awards.
