Today’s episode is the third part of a three-part series defining the difference between punishment, consequences and boundaries. These threetopics are often misunderstood and can become intertwined. They are, however, very different. Today we are talking about boundaries.

Let's break it down:

Punishment – Blame. Focused on the problem.

Consequence – Support. A plan for a new outcome. Focused on solutions.

Boundaries – How I get my own needs met. Also, solutionfocused.

Boundaries is all about taking ownership of my own thoughts, feelings and actions. It is about living in alignment with my truth. Boundaries require radical self-awareness. They are liberating. Boundaries put you incontrol of you. Boundaries are between YOU and YOU even when they involve other people. It is not your responsibility to manage other people’s response to yourtruth. It is not other people’s responsibility to maintain your boundaries.
