I think what people are referring to when they talk about the soft life is financial freedom. Not having to worry about money. Being comfortable with your finances so that one can spend more time in leisure.  I'm concerned that some people will get a rude awakening if they that that they can take short cuts by become a house wife because then you don't have to go out and work. Unfortunately the duties that come with caring for the home is LOOONNNGGG and there is nothing soft about it.
