Can you get re-ghosted over and over again? This hot and cold pattern of intense sharing to no contact and then back again. I didn't think this could happen in adult friendship yet, this pattern is something I had perpetuated in my own life.
Friends were hot and cold with me but I also was hot and cold with them. And recently, I experienced this familiar pattern but now I'm more aware and could see it happening in real-time.
I chronicle my journey with an acquaintance that I've known for years and a hot and cold pattern started to emerge as we tried to develop some sort of friendship. It has been an eye opening experience to been on the receiving end of a hot and cold contact pattern and it end up revealing more things about me than it did about her.
