Answering Race and Ethnicity Questions

Episode 1

It's one of the first questions that gets asked when you meet someone for the first time: Where are you from?  And if you're a person of colour it's usually followed by "Where are you really from?"  Is it really taboo to ask a person of colour or can it be a welcomed question?  

I discuss my starting point of irritation with these types of questions to my love of getting asked this in my social interactions.  It’s become a great opportunity for people of colour and I discuss how in the full episode.
