In this episode, we are joined by our good friends and fellow herpers, Rob Stone and Keith McPeek. We discuss our recent trip to the Northern Territory. We had an amazing trip and found heaps of awesome reptiles but one in particular really was the highlight of the trip.

We spent the past week having what I will say is the highlight of my herping life. We laughed, discussed, debated, pushed our bodies probably harder than we ever have before. We stayed up late, got a few hours sleep had an Ice break coffee or a flat white and off to do it again. Missing meals or eating things that you would never eat back home it all seems crazy until you find that reptile you’ve been searching for......you see it and you think “is that a .......” and There it is in all its glory. No tub or cage. It’s right there! Well, let’s just say it makes it all worth it!

With the influx of more and more keepers into the world of carpet pythons and more morphs than ever before the carpet community faces new issues when it comes to properly represent your snakes.

We have seen this issue before when it comes to the pure vs. cross debate, but now we have multiple genes at play add that to carpet pythons being highly variable, sometimes leads to animals not being what they said they were even though they may look like what they are supposed to, phenotypically.
