We spent the past week having what I will say is the highlight of my herping life. We laughed, discussed, debated, pushed our bodies probably harder than we ever have before. We stayed up late, got a few hours sleep had an Ice break coffee or a flat white and off to do it again. Missing meals or eating things that you would never eat back home it all seems crazy until you find that reptile you’ve been searching for......you see it and you think “is that a .......” and There it is in all its glory. No tub or cage. It’s right there! Well, let’s just say it makes it all worth it!

In this episode we are giving a play by play of the 2016 Northeast carpet fest.
What an incredible weekend. The 5th Northeast carpet fest is in the books. Thanks to my co-host, Owen McIntyre for hosting this year. Thanks to everyone that put up an item for the auction and thanks to everyone that bid. The morelia community continues to be the best in the reptile hobby and was able to raise a combined $6,541 for USARK. The Northeast raised $3,335 live auction plus $830 in T-shirt sales for a total of $4,165. The southern carpet fest raised $636 and the Southwest Carpet fest raised $1,740.

As many of you know the US fish and wildlife just finalized the "constrictor rule" which bans the sale and movement of burmese pythons, indian pythons, green and yellow anaconda, african rock pythons, and reticulated pythons across state lines and added them to the lacey act. We have been told the next step in reversing this ruling is to sue the government. USARK needs all the help and support it can get at this time.
