ABOUT RITA Rita Kakati-Shah is an award-winning, gender, diversity, inclusion and career strategist, speaker, mentor and advisor to Fortune 500 companies. She is the Founder and CEO of Uma, an international platform that empowers confidence, inspires success and builds leadership in women and minorities. Rita began her professional career at Goldman Sachs in London, where she was awarded the prestigious Excellence in Citizenship and Diversity Award. She is also the recipient of the King’s College London Distinguished Alumni Award and is also the triple Stevie Awards for Women in Business winner as well judge for the Middle East Awards. Rita actively coaches and mentors business leaders, veterans, military spouses, survivors of domestic violence, women in technology/STEM, schoolgirls and students. Since then she had experience of working in top companies in fashion working with celebrities ranging from Jeremy Scott, Lady Gaga to Madonna, public relations at People's Revolution, financial services marketing at American Express, hospitality marketing as well as running her own business providing branding and marketing services to female owned businesses in New York City. She's done it all until she found her favorite passion project: WE RULE. In 2018, Justyna became a mentor & advisor at The New School's Impact Entrepreneurship Initiative, helping graduate students grow their businesses forward using the Lean Startup Ideology where she advises today on the program's future.
