25th training session in the gym. Went really well. Warmup was smooth. Didn't have any issues with my back. Talked to my trainer right at the beginning. We're both feeling come February I'll be in a position to do more movement. Get back to jumping. Hopefully reaching similar intensity where like in December I can do max height jumps and push for growth. Right now, where I'm at, two more appointments with the chiropractor and when I get cleared then a lot of it's on me. I've enjoyed this phase of getting back to the basics. One of the movements that I did today involved a lot of core stabilization. Think you've got a TRX strap, it's hanging down, you put one foot back like a Bulgarian split squat, you squat down. Then on the way up, you're going up to get your foot off the ground a little. And it's just a little hop. That was really challenging. I had it paired with other movements, so I was sweating. That one made me work. To progress through it, I had two wooden dowels to keep my balance if I slipped at all. By the end of it I was comfortable going up and down with my body weight. Looking forward to tomorrow, just getting in the pool. Friday I'll finish with another workout similar to what I did today. Then Monday of next week will be my last official treatment at the chiropractor. Looking forward to staying the course and improving with my back.
