24th training session in the gym. Went really well today. Call the rate of perceived effort close to a 7. All things considered, given the fact I'm still recovering from my back it's nice to have that intensity in different ways. One of the more challenging movements that I did today. I don't know how to describe it other than calling it a medicine ball crawl. Imagine you have a big medicine ball, or physio ball, I don't know what they're named. You walk yourself out to where you in a plank position. You're going step by step with your hands out in front of you. And then you're rolling on your shins. Doing this bear crawl movement. Did that for 30 yards and wow. What a great way to work the stabilization of the core. It's a subtle movement, but it engages your whole body. Today's workout, the movements that I did, all of them were whole body bodyweight movements. Think pull-ups, dips. By the end of it I felt really good. Glad that I get to look forward to the weekend. Today was my 24th session. Kind of a good stepping stone, going back to November 2020 when I first started this. Wanted to get 24 sessions in and see how I felt. I can say I want to keep going. I know next week Monday is going to be a holiday with Martin Luther King day. I'm not going to be in the gym. Wednesday will be the next day that I'm back there. I'll try to check in on Monday if I'm around, then Tuesday plan on going in the pool.
