For recovery I went outside. Normally I go to the pool, and I did go to the pool, but their hours were modified where they're not going to be open until next week Monday. So I ended up being outside today and went to a park with my puppy. We did a trail together. Maybe a little over a mile. It was snow covered. Going up and down slight hills and slopes. A lot of fun. It was right at sunset and so it actually got dark on our way back and we were jogging in the moonlight. It's not that cold yet. Maybe 30 degrees out. So wearing a coat and jogging I was practically sweating at the end. It was good. Tonight I'll take some time to do some stretching. I've got that prop for my psoas muscle. Using that at night for 5 minutes a night to try and breath into that and release it a little. I don't know if it works or not. I just know it feels good right now so I'll keep using it if it feels fine. Looking at the rest of the week. I won't be in the gym tomorrow because of blizzard conditions in the morning. Then looking at Friday being Christmas everything is closed. The soonest I'll be back in the gym is next week Monday. Really these next few days going to enjoy a deloading phase and really what I like to do. The things I do outside of the gym are really enjoyable to me. Baking food, doing light activities, hanging out. Those are all part of training as well. Looking forward to an extended rest. Still try to check in. Tomorrow for sure. We'll see with Christmas eve and Christmas day. Be primed and ready for next week
