14th session in the gym. Overall feeling good. This morning I still felt the effects of Friday. On Saturday and Sunday did a nice job of letting myself sleep. A lot of passive recovery, but not a lot of targeted recovery. I'm going to have change that moving forward. I can tell there's some lingering things. Most of it being around my core. My supporting muscles along my spine are tight. Not an overly tight where I can't move. When I warm up it's pretty good. Want to make sure as I progress through my training I can stay limber and acrobatic as I move. The goal for me is not to be like heavy hitting, bulked up on muscle. Sure I can jump really high, but I can't move really well. So I'm doing the pool work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but actually mixing in a structured routine around some muscle pliability and mobility. Getting that range of motion where everyday I'm chipping away at it. Today was really nice. The movements lined up with things I've done in prior weeks. Every workout is a little different in the variations that we're doing. Today the thing that was different was instead of doing an isometric hold for 6 seconds where you're holding the weight, I was doing a 6 second lowering phase. So 6 seconds on the eccentric, bursting out of that, then going to the next rep. Tomorrow will be the pool and Wednesday back in the gym.
