In this episode, we juggle between the cultural symbolic and the political dimensions of recognition, debating the role of stereotypes and how people in power function as gatekeeping. Berly shares with us her story of growing up as an immigrant from the Dominican Republic in the USA and her reflections on Black Latina identity.
