One of the ways the Apostle Paul says that our submission to one another manifests itself in the church is by our “meekness and lowliness, with longsuffering” (Ephesians 4:2).

In the gospel’s, Jesus described His character only once (Matthew 11:29): “ I am meek and lowly.”
