The image of the Lampstand signifies purposes (lightbearers) and Zechariah makes it clear that from before the beginning of time, Plan-Awas that God would bring to Himself a collective of both Jews and Gentiles (bothtrees were set before Yahweh sometime in the past and still hold theirposition before Him), but the timing of their 1,260 days of witness tothe world (their light) would not be unified until sometime the time during thefirst 3.5-year period of the tribulation.
Thus, the lampstand, as an image, is the church of JesusChrist in its visible form, as it brings witness of the light of life to thoseliving under the moon—to those living in darkness. There will be a light thatcomes distinctly from the Jews and a light that comes distinctly from theGentiles, however, both move in accordance with one purpose in unity—to bringforth their prophetic message.
These witnesses will be hated, betrayed, persecuted, andultimately killed for speaking the truth. But in the end, the two witnesseswill win because they belong to Yahweh Adonai, the Lord of all theearth.
