Why did Jonah get a second chance?  Jonah was running away from God's call to go to Ninevah.  However, God wasn't taking NO for an answer.  He gave him a second chance to obey him and go to Ninevah and "preach against them."   Why did God do that?    What were His thoughts about Jonah and His thoughts about the Ninevites?

Jonah obeyed, went to Ninevah, and preached a hard word to the Ninevites.  How did they respond?
