Growing Hope Globally is a non-profit organization in the U.S. that creates sustainable solutions to stop world hunger. Don talks about creating a trout hatchery in a community back in 2013 to create a solution to malnourishment and to have a source of income. Jane and Don lead the Amazing Grace growing project in the Conrad area. The proceeds of the vegetables that are grown are given to the organization to further develop opportunities for improvements in the struggling communities.

Kevin went to Drake University for Broadcasting and Journalism. While attending Drake, Kevin ran the oldies radio station on campus for the weekend. He then ran a late-night sports radio station back in his hometown in Denver, Colorado in the summers. Kevin has now been the operation manager at KFJB for 18 years and does the morning show. T2K Nutrition was established on May 21, 2020, as an in-home Nutrition Club. They operated over the lunch hour and then quickly expanded the house as Heather added more wellness coaches. After 8 months into the business, Heather started to look for a commercial location in the Marshalltown community! They landed in the Nicholas Center in Suite “T.” T2K Nutrition is built around the community and Heather's family. The initials stand for Tyler, Kinnick, and Kinnley. They officially opened the commercial space on June 17, 2021. Since then, they have had the pleasure of duplicating locations into other communities that can benefit from what T2K has to offer…Healthy Meal Replacements & Energy Bombs that provide lots of focus, hydration, and boost metabolism. They also provide lots of kids' options. With that said, we are excited to introduce Hangloose Nutrition which will be located at 121 N Main St. in Conrad! Kelly Larson, Wellness Coach joined the team in January of 2021 with the goal of improving her own personal health. This wellness journey has led to an interest in club ownership herself. They are extremely excited to bring a Nutrition club to the Conrad community and surrounding areas! We also are excited to see Hangloose Nutrition come to Main Street in Conrad!

On today's episode of Create with Heidi, Heidi Kaisand is joined by Chris Edgington, the president of the Corn Board of the National Corn Growers Association. Chris is a farmer from St. Ansgar, Iowa. Chris explains the behind the scenes of agriculture such as the technology in farming, rainy days, and how farming has changed over the years. Chris also talks about where all the corn goes. Reha Greenhouses was established in 1947 when Marianne's father started a landscaping business on their farm. The company then grew and they created their first greenhouse out of a little garage with plastic over top of it. Brian operates his family farm in Beaman, Iowa with a wide variety of livestock and crops. Brian's farm has been running for 150 years by 6 generations of his family. Brian explains the reasoning behind Conrad's title of "Black Dirt Captial of the World." This makes for great crops year after year, which is why agricultural is a big part of Conrad's history.
