The leaders of the economic and military powerhouses that make up the two blocs of nations have tried to balance the reaping of the social and economic benefits that arise out of economic engagement and co-operation and insulating their world order ambitions from the risks cause by the interdependencies that nations develop when they engage in economic engagement and co-operation. The leaders of economic power houses of two blocs are attempting to mitigate the risks to their national and international interests associated with interdependencies by making their nations politically and economically self-sufficient and expanding their international political and economic influence. The path to resolving these conflicts must begin with an honest assessment of the national and international political and economic strategies of the leaders of the powerhouses of the democratic and autocratic blocs of nations. There can be no world order when the most powerful nations of the world are attempting to dominate each other. There can be a mutually beneficial world order only if there is a willingness on the part of the economic and military powerhouses of the world to create one. The leaders of the economic and military power houses must re-asses their desire to dominate the world order. To make this assessment, the personal ambitions of the leaders must be taken off the table and the desires of the people of the nation that they lead must be given the utmost of consideration. Of course, in the case of the tyrannical leader, that is not going to happen. The despot envisions a national and an international order that serves its personal will and agenda. An autocratic leader that is willing to terrorize the people of its nation and the people of other nations is unlikely   to be willing to re-assess its desire to dominate. The people of its nation share the responsibility for doing something about that. The process must begin with an  assessment of the thoughts, assumptions and beliefs that they have embraced that led them to experiencing living in a nation with a tyrant as a leader that wishes impose its personal agenda and will on the people of the world.
