The podcast “Insights About Us” provides weekly information sessions. The episodes provide insights into such matters as our nature, purpose, role, journey, creations, discernments, beliefs, behaviours, emotions, experiences and needs. The proper use of these insights permits us to create the model of our Self and world that we want.

Episode #62 provides insights about transmuting resistances. Our human intellect understands something that our unconscious Self does not understand. Our human intellect understands that what we resist persists in getting our attention. What persists in getting our attention becomes what we experience. The concepts of a vulnerable and unprotected separate Self and a powerful evil force that is out to get us cause us stress, anxiety and fear and consequently those concepts get our attention and become a significant part of our experiences. When we suffer from the repeated experiences of the concept of a vulnerable, unprotected and separate Self or the concept of a powerful evil force that is out to get us, we continue to turn to our human intellect for advocacy and support and do its bidding. We get trapped in what we are trying to escape from. We cannot see that to escape from what we are resisting, we must stop the resisting and face our fears, which takes courage. Rather than resist what we want to free our Self from, we need to transmute it and make it less fearful. Transmutation is a process of changing meanings, interpretations, perceptions and beliefs about things. When we change the meanings that we assign to aspects of things, we change our perceptions and interpretations of those things and our beliefs about those things. When we change our beliefs about those things, we change the thoughts, images feelings and intentions we have about those things. When we give those changed thoughts, images feelings and intentions our repeated attention, they become part of our changed experience. What we experience on the inside we experience on the outside.
