October is a time of change, moving in to cold and darkness, there is a lot of death in the air. Especially if your neighbours like to decorate with skeletons and grave stones *nervous Laugh. This month the veil between the two realms is the thinnest, so lets remember our pagan roots and embrace / take advantage of that.
Christmas & Grief! It's arguably the most difficult time of year for your grief, yay. Theres nothing like a family orientated environment filled with social pressures to buy expensive gifts and pressure to get along with family that puts you in the mood to smother a dead bird in Gee, than Christmas time!
Breda and Laura talk about how Christmas is shit without their loved ones, that one time Breda got langers before Christmas dinner and what to do to take care of yourself as best you can around this difficult time.
Halloween is an interesting time to be grieving, the seasons are changing, the leaves are dying and everywhere you look there are decorations of coffins, ghosts and graves.
Laura describes how October used to be her least favourite time of year because of her mum and sister's anniversaries but she has a unique view on why it's her favourite time of year.
The girls argue over what song to sing and Breda has the odd dark humoured slip up.

Breda talks openly about her want to give up the booze and Laura describes what her drinking and smoking habits were like in the height of her grief before she gave it all up.
Why is it so hard to talk to the family? Why is it we can give advice & emotional support so we’ll to friends or even strangers but when a family member is having a hard time we are almost emotionally frozen.
Why do we struggle to give advice? Or take it? Is the grief too raw? Because we have to love each other does that leave room from too raw truth?

It's easter and the touchy subject of religion has joined the chat. We discuss our experience of the traditional catholic funeral and we get it to a bit of a heated debate.
