**Give All for One Glory : 1 Samuel 13 : 16 - 22 ; 14 : 6 - 23
1 Samuel 13:16–22 (NIV)**
Ramp-up fear to fight (13:16-18)
- Three raiding parties in three directions.
- The Israelites’ fear ramped up.
- Our fear ramps-up when we …
- remove our focus on Jesus
- trust in ourselves rather than in the Lord
Restrict ability to fight (13: 19-22)
- The Philistines had prevented the Israelites from making weapons.
- This had restricted the Israelites’ abilities to fight their enemy.
Powerless believers
- Stop praying to the Lord.
- Stop depending on the Holy Spirit.
- Stop uniting as a church.
Faithless believers
- Stop meditating on the Word of God.
- Stop putting love actions into their faith life.
Onlooker believers
- Stop coming together as one body.
- Stop serving to build-up and equip the church.
- Stop involving in Christ’s kingdom works.

How faith and love in God can be restored?
Johnathan and armour bearer (14:6-14) - Training the spiritual muscles of faith**
- The enemy’s challenge was a sign of victory.
- A small victory but great success because God was with them.
- Johnathan and his armor-bearer had their parts to play.
Saul and his armies (14:15-20) - Found in the Spirit’s conduit of power and love
- Saul saw that the Philistines panic stricken.
- He immediately assembled his men for the battle.
- As God showed signs of His presence and power, Saul and his armies caught on the courage to fight.
Other Israelites (14:21-22) - Catch on and move with the Spirit
- As the people saw God’s will unveiled, they joined in the battle.
- People catch on our spirit.
CONCLUSION - GOD IS CALLING US TO GIVE ALL …
- to train our spiritual muscles to be built-up.
- to welcome the Holy Spirit’s presence and power, and be found in His direct path.
- to desire the Holy Spirit to move in our hearts to impact lives in Jesus’ name.
