Sermon Title : Jesus' Presence Brings Goodness

John 4 : 4 - 26Jesus had intentionally chosen to journey through Samaria, a most unlikely route.
This is so that he could be present where the despised people were.What good things Jesus’ presence would bring to our lives? JESUS’ PRESENCE BRINGS REVELATION
- Will: Jesus is willing to be present
- The woman was shocked – Jesus was a stranger, and a Jewish man.
- As a Samaritan, her race and religion were despised by the Jews.
- She was an outcast, immoral, worldly, and far from being religious.
- Wonder: She wonders about her life
- She wondered, “How can you ask me for a drink?”” (Jn 4:9)
- Jews do not even use dishes [utensils] that Samaritans have used.
- Jews who drank from a Samaritan woman’s vessel would become ceremonially unclean
- Jesus told about the “living water” (Jn 4:10) she could drink of and never be thirsty again.
- The living water will become “a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (Jn 4:14).
- Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit…
Jesus’ presence has brought revelation to her wondering – about her past, present and future life, and her need for salvation.
- JESUS’ PRESENCE BRINGS WORSHIP
- The Samaritan woman regarded and respected Jesus as a prophet.
- She ask about the place of worship – Samaria or Jerusalem?
- Worship in truth
- Worship based on God’s truth.
- Worship through Jesus (the only Way to the Father).
- Worship in the Spirit
- Worship in the new realm because the Holy Spirit indwells believers.
- Worship that comes from the believers’ hearts
Unlimited Worship in the Spirit - is only limited by our extent of willingness to worship God - for who He is, not what we thought He is, but not.Worship in the Spirit is conscious and intentional worship that occurs wherever we are, and in whatever circumstances we are in… and not restricted by our preferences…
- JESUS’ PRESENCE BRINGS NEWNESS
- New Creation - Hope of new life with an eternal destiny
- New Relationship
- New Wineskins
CONCLUSION :

- His renewal of worship
- His refreshing newness
