For magnet High Schools, admissions have always been a contentious issue. With increased conversations about race, diversity in these schools are being scrutinized. Didi Elsad is a student at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and is fighting for a merit lottery system to increase diversity at this public magnet school. Today, we have a discussion about merit lotteries despite us disagreeing and hopefully find a Common Denominator in the process.
