Episode Summary:

It’s your lucky day! We are getting the inside scoop with fertility specialist Dr. Catha Fischer.

There is a lot of information to sift through when you embark on the IVF journey and even more so when it hasn't quite been successful. When things don't go as planned, we start to ask a lot of questions. But it can get very overwhelming, to say the least. Perhaps you are seeking sources of information from Facebook groups, online chats, or various fertility books. But how to tell fact from fiction? Wouldn't it be nice just to ask a doctor? In this week's session, we are joined by board-certified REI and Director of Fertility Preservation at Spring Fertility in New York, Dr. Catha Fisher. Dr. Fisher is kind enough to join us for a Q & A session to give us the nitty-gritty on hot topics in the fertility landscape. Including debunking myths and giving us the scoop on relevant research in the field. She provides us with the doctor’s point of view while also reminding us to "trust your gut.” This one is not to be missed!

Guest Bio:

Dr. Fischer is a board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist, Obstetrician, and Gynecologist. Most recently, Dr. Fischer was practicing at one of the highest volume practices in the country. Dr. Fischer is most looking forward to joining Spring in her ability to continue practicing exceptional clinical care while also delivering an unparalleled and compassionate patient experience. Her practice ethos is that patients deserve both, and she’s thrilled to join a team that also echoes this sentiment. As a native New Yorker, Dr. Fischer is also excited to bring her practice back to the city.

Dr. Fischer graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis before attending the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Fischer then completed her Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center-New York Presbyterian Hospital.
