If you want to hear the story of a woman who weathered it all and came out on top, then this one's for you. Katie went through a rollercoaster of an infertility journey. From an autoimmune disease to miscarriage to repeated IVF failures, she kept finding the strength to try again. As a nutritionist, Katie used the power of nutrition, alongside natural medicine, to help her weather the storm of side effects that come with IVF, and eventually succeeded with her efforts, now being a mother of two. Her journey inspired her to develop a hormone balancing supplement for women called Knowell. Tune in today to learn more!
Guest Bio:
Katie Fitzgerald became a nutritionist out of a desire to help women live happier, healthier lifestyles. Working in private practice in New York City, She listened to so many women describe their frustrations and challenges—symptoms they couldn’t make sense of and results they weren’t reaching in spite of their best efforts.
Katie was also surprised to observe that many women were woefully undereducated about the importance of hormone health, reproductive function, and how these things impact overall health. As a health professional, she sympathized with the fact that they couldn’t find evidence-based resources that could speak to them about hormonal health in a relatable way. Katie wanted to do something about this disconnect.
Besides her formal education in clinical nutrition, Katie’s knowledge of hormonal imbalance came from intimate and personal experiences. She and her husband struggled for six years with infertility. Using two different clinics, Katie underwent four rounds of IVF and suffered five miscarriages.
