The Romans called it "mare nostrum", most northern Europeans know it as a holiday destination. Like so many things in life, it also has a "dark side". It is marking the outer border of the European Union in the south (at least in parts) and sometimes it is described as a big mass grave.
This episode we will be talking about the Mediterranean sea. The literal translation of this word means "the sea between countries", but in our heads it is more than just that. We think of Italy and Spain, sand between our toes and tasty antipasti...
