The United States military unleashed "shock and awe" on Iraq in 2003 in our quest to overthrow a brutal dictator. There is one sentence that sends Dads into panic-mode: “But Dad, YOU PROMISED!” It is a sad truth that human beings are not very good at keeping the promises they made. Guest Speaker On Sunday, May 7th, we were delighted to welcome Lian Kim to our Morning Worship service. Kim is our missionary to Myanmar, where he is one of the leaders developing and building the Koinonia (Fellowship) Baptist Seminary. This seminary exists to train pastors and church leaders in the surrounding regions of Myanmar to do effective gospel ministry. Before his presentation, Kim directed our hearts to Acts 19, where he talked about the Apostle Paul’s strategies for reaching new regions and training new believers.
