Delayed obedience in the face of punishment is still disobedience. The point of the Christian life is not checking all the boxes of morality, but it is a lasting relationship with the God of the universe. Jesus stands as the only way for us to come before this Holy God. He has borne the rightful punishment for our sin and given us his righteousness. Ask that God would satisfy your heart with his steadfast love that is better than life.
