Now that we, as believers, are in a state of grace, our relationship to the law of God has radically changed. Whereas we once stood condemned under the law, we are now freed or released from the condemnation and the curse of the law. Furthermore, now that we are united to Jesus Christ, we possess His imputed righteousness, which perfectly fulfilled the demands of the law. Thus, we are no longer at odds with the law of God, but we are eager to obey it through the powerful working of the Spirit within us.
