1. Take a moment to reread the first half of Genesis 3.  Compare the ways that Adam, Eve, and Cain experience temptation and deal with their sin.  What has changed?  What is the same?

2. How does Cain’s sin grow throughout Genesis 4?  What can this teach us about the nature of sin.  How have you personally experienced this?

3. How would you characterize God’s response to Cain’s sin?  What does God’s response reveal about His nature and character?

4. What warnings or encouragements does this text have you for your personally?
