12:09:08 From Dawnelda McInnis : Good Morning! Logged in at work. From Calgary, AB, Canada. Two kids, 15 year old son, 12 year old daughter. Currently not many challenges, just feeling the passing of time flying by!
12:09:54 From Millie Hsi (she, her, hers) : Hey gang, I’m sorry that I have a situation that I am dealing with so can’t get on screen. But here’s my info: In SF Bay Area in California. Three kids: almost 16-year-old and twin 10-year olds. Dealing with debilitating anxiety in one of our sons.
12:09:57 From Alicia Schultz : Had a very rough night (sick kid), so no video or talk today.
12:12:10 From Alicia Schultz : I’m Alicia From Wauwatosa WI. I have two kids ages 5 and 8. We homeschool. Biggest challenge right now is that my 8yo is great at expressing his emotions, but he’s directing at the family when angry. So I’m looking for language on how to help him learn some emotional control and how directing anger at others is not good (without making him feel bad about himself).
12:20:25 From Todd Adams : who would like to ask a question of something you might be working through?
12:22:49 From Alicia Schultz : Thank you. I’ve been following Cathy and Todd since he was 6months old.
12:23:19 From Alicia Schultz : Yeah yeah yeah
12:23:31 From Alicia Schultz : I feel like it is often other things that get launched into anger
12:24:11 From Alicia Schultz : Making a plan. I like that. I think he’d like that.
12:25:04 From Alicia Schultz : Yes!
12:25:09 From Alicia Schultz : Thank you.
12:25:26 From Elaine Vaughan : Thoughts on when it’s been more like 2 (positive) to 10 (negative) and repair? (I have to do some repair today with my teen!)
12:51:37 From Jenn Kovacs : That episode of Anderson Cooper’s podcast is one of my favorite pods of the year.
12:51:47 From Jenn Kovacs : I have recommended it multiple times
12:52:15 From Millie Hsi (she, her, hers) : Anderson Cooper podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/stephen-colbert-grateful-for-grief/id1643163707?i=1000580162304
12:52:18 From Alicia Schultz : Can you share that Grief title again?
12:53:07 From Millie Hsi (she, her, hers) : Alicia: The After Grief (https://www.amazon.com/AfterGrief-Finding-Your-Along-Long/dp/0399179801/ref=sr_1_1?crid=35QY5D98GHT12&keywords=the+after+grief&qid=1671475808&s=books&sprefix=the+after+grief%2Cstripbooks%2C162&sr=1-1)
12:54:14 From Alicia Schultz : Thanks!
12:55:38 From Jenn Kovacs : thank you
12:59:04 From Alicia Schultz : I hate the question of “what do you want to be when you grow up” because I think the question of “what kind of person do you want to be” is a more important one.
13:00:56 From Alicia Schultz : Thank you! This was great!
13:01:28 From Kristen : Thank you!! Always a great discussion with this group
