Jesus was a first-century teacher, using stories to convey truth. In proclaiming the Kingdom of God & heaven, Jesus used analogies, figures of speech, and metaphors to help us understand one of the central gospel truths: following Christ. Understanding our relationship to the creator of the universe helps us to better understand our relationship to each other.
