1 Samuel 15:23, "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king."

Stubbornness is a form of pride and we all know that pride goeth before destruction.

We must be careful to understand that any amount of hard-headedness or stubbornness is pride and if we don't make sure to repent and turn away from that, it will become a trap and a snare in our quest for holiness.
