The Bible warns believers that "all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted" (II Timothy 3:12). Paul faces heavy pain and persecution in Acts 14:19-28, but we'll focus on how he and the disciples with him reacted:

1. Pain didn't puncture their perseverance
2. Fear didn't fray their focus
3. Busyness didn't block their blessing

Paul and Barnabas are examples for us as believers. With our gaze fixed with an eternal perspective, we press on in commitment to the Lord.
