The call of Christ is serious for every single person. As we open to Luke 9, we'll examine two core thoughts:

1. The call of Christ and the supremacy of Christ
2. Difficulties present themselves but a decision must be made

When Jesus says, "Follow me," we acknowledge the first step in the Christian life is obedience to those two words. Often times, we add a stipulation to our pursuit of Christ.

However, Jesus' call demands submission of our whole being. In the end, to be outside the Kingdom is to be without everything that gives life its fullness in the present and its hope in the future.
