In this episode of The Athlete Welfare Podcast,  I have a different, yet insightful conversation with Dan Richardson regarding the importance of nutrition in making athletes feel psychological and physically improved.

Throughout we mentioned the relevance of open, safe, trusting and personalised conversations instead of formal consultations. It was interesting to discuss the freedom to roam resulting in player responsibility as well as the difference between coaching and lecturing. I enjoyed debating the emphasis of a simple mentality, support networks and belief.

It was fascinating to listen to the technique in which Dan takes to find the middle ground, and to create a fun, rewarding and creative nutrition education for all involved. I liked to hear about how ultimately this comes from trial and error and will always be a sliding scale; similarly to ever changing landscape, everybody, and every technique will differ to increase relationships, understanding and acknowledgement.

I hope you all enjoy todays conversation.
